Born on June 21, 1933, in Green County, KY, Jane was the daughter of the late William Richard Gaines and Nancy Breeding Gaines. She dedicated much of her life to her faith and family, professing a strong belief in Christ and being a lifelong member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. Jane retired as an employee of Fruit of the Loom, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
In her personal life, Jane faced challenges with the loss of loved ones. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Henry White, who was the father of her children, as well as her grandson, Jonathan Wesley Clark. Jane is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert Earl Fisher, of Campbellsville, and her legacy continues through her family. She is the mother of two daughters, Bonnie Netherland and Linda Clark, both residing in Bowling Green, along with son Danny White and his wife Angela, who live in Houston, Texas. Jane also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who remember her fondly.
Jane is also mourned by the loss of four brothers who preceded her in death: Paul Gaines, Billie T. Gaines, Rev. Bobby Gaines, and Danny Richard Gaines. Their absence, along with her own losses, painted a life full of both joy and sorrow.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM ET at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Friends and family are welcome to attend, but there will be no prior visitation before the funeral. Following the service, Jane will be laid to rest at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, a final resting place for many in the community.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed towards donations for Hosparus of Green River or to support Gideon Bibles, reflecting Jane’s values and generosity even in her passing.
