Born on December 14, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, Wanda was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Hunt Flener. Wanda faced personal hardship, having been preceded in death by her two children, Michael and Marni McDaniel, as well as both of her parents.

Wanda is survived by her three children: Stephen McDaniel, who is married to Christy; Amanda Gleeson; and Brittany Baize. In addition, she leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren: Ava McDaniel, Nick McDaniel, Briannah Roland (spouse: Aaron), Avery Pendley (spouse: Valarie), Ariana Asbridge (spouse: Josh), Christian Brown (spouse: Brenda), Ian Baize (spouse: Savanna), Colin Baize, and Evan Baize, along with several great-grandchildren, including Slade Roland, Avia Pendley, Psalm Pendley, Willow Pendley, Saint Pendley, Leo Asbridge, and Maelyn Baize.
