The family also includes his two granddaughters, Averie and Mia Ballard, who reside in Union, Kentucky. In addition to his immediate family, Arnold is survived by three brothers: Perry Arnold (married to Stephanie), Kelly Arnold (married to Kristy), and two sisters: Jackie Wisdom (married to Larry) and Charlene Creager (married to Mitch), along with several nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ramona Arnold, along with a nephew, Joseph Glen Baize.
