After graduating from Alexandria High School, Delores pursued further education at the Minnesota School of Business, eventually beginning her career at International Harvester. It was at this company that she met Merlin Iverson, and they were married on July 13, 1958.

Delores and Merlin spent the early years of their marriage living in Minneapolis, where they welcomed two sons, Mark and John. In 1972, the family relocated to Jeffersontown, Kentucky, due to Merlin’s work commitments, and later moved to Olathe, Kansas, in 1981. Merlin Iverson passed away in 2010, prompting Delores to move to Bowling Green, Kentucky, to be closer to her son Mark and his family.

Delores was widely recognized for her active involvement in her church community. She served as church secretary in multiple locations and took part in the church choir, using her musical talents as a pianist for various church activities. She also enjoyed participating in the bell choir, bringing joy to many through her musical contributions.

Delores is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Margaret, Ansel, Brooks, Jack, Lydia, Owen, and Sutton.

The community will hold a public visitation for Delores on Monday, August 18, from 10 AM to 12 PM at The Presbyterian Church located at 1003 State Street in Bowling Green, Kentucky. A Funeral Service will follow at noon.
