Meet the Stars of the Day
Let’s get to know these incredible students. First up, there’s Trevor Huff, who will be putting on the colors of Lindsey Wilson College as he continues his passion for bowling. Previously competing in the Junior Gold Championships, Trevor has shown that hard work pays off. He’s excited to hit the lanes at the collegiate level, and we have no doubt he’ll make a splash!
Next, we have the talented Henderson Wiggins, a standout goalkeeper who has dominated the regional soccer scene. With only five goals allowed in 20 games and a whopping ten shutouts, Henderson’s defensive skills have caught the eye of Lindsey Wilson College, where he’ll be trading his purple jersey for their colors. He’s proven to be a wall at the net, and we can’t wait to see him thrive in collegiate soccer!
Then there’s the amazing Adelyn Drane, who has made a remarkable impact on the field during her time at Bowling Green High. With 19 goals and nine assists to her name, Adelyn has not only helped her team clinch four consecutive region tournament wins but has also shown incredible growth. After exploring cross country and cheerleading, she decided to put all her energy into soccer, and it looks like that was the right choice! She’s signed on with Cumberland University and is feeling grateful to share her signing day with her dear friend, Mogie Bradley.
Speaking of Mogie, this enthusiastic cheerleader has signed her way into Western Kentucky University to spread her spirit among the Hilltoppers. Every athlete knows that cheerleading requires just as much dedication as any sport, and Mogie’s journey has led her to this exciting new chapter. We can’t wait to see her pom-poms flying high at WKU!
Football Standouts
Now, let’s talk about the boys of fall! CJ Sweeney has made his mark as a crucial player in Bowling Green’s recent football championship. Despite facing a tough back injury, he didn’t let that stop him from contributing significantly, boasting 29 receptions for 513 yards and scoring four incredible touchdowns this past season. He’ll now be heading to Kentucky Wesleyan College to continue his football journey, and we know he’ll make a name for himself there!
Last but certainly not least is Anthony Pointer, a defensive powerhouse who has helped shape Bowling Green’s championship defense. With 33 tackles and a key sack under his belt, Anthony is ready to take his talents to Union College, where he can’t wait to join the community of college football players. His hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we are all rooting for him as he steps into this exciting next phase of his athletic career!
