Bowling Green, KY – The community of Bowling Green is mourning the passing of Gladys Mary Faller, a beloved resident, who passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the age of 95 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Faller was a long-time member of the community, known for her kindness, family devotion, and active involvement in church and volunteer activities.

Born on September 11, 1929, in Buffalo, NY, Faller lived a life rich in family and service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene C. Faller, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Alongside her husband, Gladys faced the loss of her parents, Fred B. Linneman and Laura Reisch Linneman, as well as her four brothers, Herbert, Donald, Wilbert, and Edwin Linneman. She also experienced the sorrow of losing her daughter-in-law, Lynn Faller, and son-in-law, Jeff Leach.

Gladys Faller had a distinguished career at the Bowling Green Daily News, where she dedicated many years to the Classifieds department before retiring. Aside from her professional endeavors, she made significant contributions to her faith community as an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. There, she served in multiple roles, including as a Minister of Care and a Eucharistic Minister. Her participation in the Funeral Meals Ministry and as a member of the Lady Knights of Columbus highlighted her commitment to serving others. She also volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul, further underscoring her dedication to helping those in need.

Gladys is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by four sons: Thomas Faller of Lawrenceville, GA; David Faller of Madison, WI; Daniel Faller (Susan) of Bowling Green, KY; and Andy Faller (Donna) of Smiths Grove, KY. Additionally, she is survived by two daughters: Barbara Moore (Andy) of Swainsboro, GA; and Ann Marie Leach of Scottsville, KY. Her family includes seven grandchildren: Chris Moore (Darlene), Joseph Moore (Jana), Katelyn Moore, Heather Craddock (Brock), Brandon Faller, Casey Faller, and Cory Faller, as well as a step-grandson, Matthew Newhart. Faller also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren: Ashton Moore, Collin Moore, Iiran Moore, Eliaas Moore, Rigg Moore, Cambri Craddock, and Nora Craddock, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to celebrate her life. Visitation with the family will precede the mass from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM that same day. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The outpouring of love and support for Gladys Faller’s family during this difficult time reflects the deep connections she fostered throughout her life.
