Nothing made her prouder than her loving daughters and adorable grandchildren, who always brought out the biggest smiles in JoAnn.

JoAnn shared a beautiful 38-year marriage with her beloved husband, John Kelly Meredith, who predeceased her. Together, they created wonderful memories while traveling with the U.S.S. Prichett Reunion Association, exploring new horizons and fostering connections with fellow veterans and their families.

When JoAnn wasn’t hard at work or doting on her family, she found pleasure in her hobbies. She was an avid bird watcher and took immense care in tending to her beautiful flowers. On warm afternoons, you could find her sipping on a delightful cold glass of sweet tea while being surrounded by her vibrant garden.

JoAnn leaves behind a loving family that includes her two daughters, Phyllis Forrester (with husband Donald) and Darla Sams. In honoring JoAnn’s memory, there will be a funeral service at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel on February 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00 AM until the service begins. Following the ceremony, JoAnn will be laid to rest in the serene Wingfield Church Cemetery.
