While the family grieves their loss, they find comfort in the belief that he is now reunited with his first wife, Charlotte Cole Tanaro, who passed away after 30 years of marriage. Also awaiting him in glory are his parents, Albert Thomas Tanaro and Juanita Colburn Tanaro, in addition to his brothers Albert Tanaro and David Tanaro, among other loved ones.

Funeral services for Mike Tanaro are scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the Greenwood Park Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to noon at the church.
