Their family blossomed with three wonderful daughters: Heather, Whitney, and Ashley. Each daughter carried a piece of John with them, as he was not only a doting father but also a proud grandfather to eight delightful grandchildren: Annabelle, John Ryan, Adelyn, Alexandria, Nick, Aurora, Ava, and Jackson. His love for his family was deeply rooted, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing stories or cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team together.

John wasn’t just known for being a devoted family man; he was also a remarkable figure within the community. He engaged with neighbors and friends alike, always with a heartwarming smile and a helping hand. He was the son of the late John Harley Jenkins and Mary Taylor and is preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Tooley, along with three brothers: David Jenkins, Jr., Jenkins, and William Taylor. He is survived by not only his beloved wife and daughters but also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

As the community prepares to say their final goodbyes, John’s funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, located at 3098 Louisville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42101. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home earlier that day, allowing family and friends alike to gather and share memories of this remarkable man. Following the service, John will be laid to rest in the family plots, where he can rest peacefully.
